Orange County’s vibrant diversity is the engine of our community’s success. As your County Legislator, I am dedicated to ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to participate fully in our social, economic, and civic life. My work is deeply informed by my 15+ years of experience in Human Resources, where I specialized in implementing programs to enhance workplace equity and organizational effectiveness. I am bringing that same professional lens to the legislature to dismantle barriers and foster a culture of belonging across the Town of Newburgh and all of Orange County.

Legislative Agenda for Inclusion & Civil Rights

Our office is advocating for proactive policies that protect and empower our diverse population:

• Championing Protected Groups: Supporting robust programs and legal protections for women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and residents with disabilities to ensure equal treatment under the law.
• Empowering Underserved Youth: Investing in mentorship and educational programs that provide a pathway to success for young people in historically marginalized neighborhoods.
• Diversity in County Operations: Promoting inclusive hiring practices and advocating for local contracting requirements that prioritize minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE).
• Supporting Cultural Community Programs: Funding and promoting local cultural festivals and community initiatives that celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of our diverse residents.
• Advancing Universal Accessibility: Prioritizing infrastructure improvements and digital accessibility to ensure county services and public spaces are fully accessible to residents of all abilities.
