GOSHEN – After rejecting a sales tax cap on gasoline sales of over $3 weeks ago, the Orange County Legislature on Thursday night voted to enact the cap on sales of gasoline to a maximum of $2 per gallon.
Orange County lawmakers have voted to establish a temporary $2 sales tax cap on gasoline. The County Legislature approved this measure on Thursday evening in Goshen, reversing a previous decision from three weeks earlier when a similar proposal had been rejected.
